What is Quarterly Fund Update (QFU)?

The Quarterly Fund Update is a standardised one-page summary published each quarter for every KiwiSaver scheme fund.

Required by the FMA. The QFU shows past returns (1-year, 5-year annualised, since-fund-start), fees in dollars and percent, top 10 holdings, asset mix, and the risk indicator. The standardised format makes side-by-side comparison straightforward.

Example

A QFU might show: 5-year annualised return 7.4%, total fees 0.95% and NZ$30/year, risk indicator 5, top holdings dominated by global equity ETFs.
