What is Annual Statement?
The annual statement is the yearly report your KiwiSaver provider must send showing contributions, returns, fees, and your projected retirement balance.
Detailed Explanation
Required under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, the statement must show contributions in dollars, fees in dollars, returns after fees and tax, and a retirement balance projection on standard assumptions set by the FMA. Use it as your once-a-year health check.
Example
Your statement shows NZ$3,600 contributed, NZ$420 in fees, NZ$1,800 in returns after PIE tax, and a projected age-65 balance of NZ$420,000 in today's dollars.
