What is Unit Price?

The unit price is the value of one unit in your KiwiSaver scheme fund, used to calculate your total balance.

Detailed Explanation

Your KiwiSaver balance equals the number of units you own multiplied by the current unit price. When you contribute, you buy units at the current price. The unit price changes daily based on the fund performance.

Example

Illustrative example — If you own 5,000 units and the unit price is $2.50, your balance is $12,500. If the price rises to $2.60, your balance becomes $13,000.

Frequently Asked Questions
